3 Things You Never Knew About the Law of Attraction

While just about everyone has probably heard about the law of attraction, there are a few things you may not be aware of.

Whether you study and follow the law of attraction or not, one thing is for sure, it is already at work in your life, whether you are consciously aware of it or not.

The theory is that you attract into your life whatever it is you happen to be focused on, so if you are not happy with the things or the people in your life, guess what? You invited them!

The law of attraction does not distinguish or care whether or not you focus on positive people and positive things or negative people and negative things, it simply delivers right back to you whatever you focus on, day in and day out.

If you spend your time focused on good things, then good things come back. If you spend your time grumbling and complaining, then you just get more of those things you are grumbling or complaining about.

It is a very simple rule but an important one because everything in your life is made of energy. You create it, and you attract it.

You can either drift around aimlessly, attracting more of the things you don't want, or you can create a plan based on those things you do want. It's really your choice.

1. You Are What You Believe

What about another interesting titbit? How about the fact that what you see in your life right now is the culmination of everything you have attracted thus far.

Everything in your life is there by invitation only. Whatever exists in your life is a result of past decisions or actions.

You cannot change your past decisions or your past actions; you can only change what you do and say from this moment on. Think about this for a moment.

What kinds of things do you have in your current life? They are merely a result of your expectations and your beliefs.

If you are always telling yourself that you struggle with relationships, then chances are you will continue to struggle with relationships.

If you are always complaining and grumbling about bills and money, you aren't doing much to invite wealth into your life.

Until you start appreciating money and wealth and stop getting jealous of everyone else who seems to have it over you, you will most likely continue to repel it.

2. You Must Raise Your Expectations

If you want more of something, you have to expect more and you have to expect everything. Once you raise your expectations and begin to really focus on and appreciate what money has done for you, you will start attracting more of it into your life.

The fact of the matter is that like attracts like, no matter what. Think about those things you spend your time focused on.

Are they good things or bad things? How about the people you spend time with? Do they lift you up or bring you down? Are they positive or negative?

Just something for you to think about. If you are a positive person, you will attract positive people. If you tend to be negative, more than you are positive, you will continue to attract negative things and negative people into your life.

3. You Get What You Deserve

What about a third thing you might ask? How about, life will give you exactly what you ask for, nothing more and nothing less.

This means that you may want to think a little bigger. If all you ask for is just enough money to squeak by, then that is exactly what you will get.

Let's face it, that doesn't really help in the long run. If you ask for nothing, you get nothing. If you expect nothing, you get nothing, as well.

If you want more, you have to ask for more and expect more. Now having said this, you might want to ask for things in stages, so the things you ask for are actually believable to your subconscious mind.

If you suddenly wake up one morning and proclaim: "I am a millionaire," you may have a hard time believing it. On the other hand, if you give yourself time to gradually get used to the idea of having more money, you will have better luck.

If you woke up and told yourself "I am inviting wealth into my life," then chances are that is a very believable statement. You can work your way up to being a millionaire!

You Can Get All You Want

The law of attraction works like a magic genie; you get what you ask for, exactly what you ask for.

The secret is to hold an image or a thought in your mind long enough for your mind to grab a hold of it.

You cannot just proclaim you are inviting wealth into your life one day, and forget about it the very next day. You have to make your new thoughts your habits and your new way of thinking.

You could do some simple visualizations by closing your eyes and picturing yourself receiving wealth or living the way you wish to live.

If you begin to make a habit of this, by focusing on it several times throughout your day, you might be surprised at how quickly things start to change.

The law of attraction does work, and it just might shock you at how well it works. It works whether or not you believe in it, so you might be better off believing in it.

All you need to do is visualize the life you wish to create, and hold that thought in your mind and take action when things come your way.

The law of attraction just might be your best-kept secret.
