We often fill our days with endless chatter, noise and activity, and we find that we don’t leave ourselves any time to turn off and tune out.
Living in a chaotic world can be very stressful, so finding peace is vital if we want to manage our stress levels.
Stress, who needs it?
There are many ways to find peace in a chaotic world, and it doesn’t require a huge time commitment. Everyone deserves a break throughout their day, even if it is only a five-minute break to take a walk or stretch your legs.
Taking a break in your day can ease away stress and tension. Stress can have a myriad of negative health effects, ranging from physical symptoms, such as upset stomach, chest pain or headaches, to emotional distress.
Relaxing helps by melting away the mental and emotional layers, which can cause stress and anxiety. Stress and anxiety can build up in the body, eventually leading to disease. We need to watch out!
Five-minute Mini Meditation
As stress is counterproductive, and we all have a maximum level at which we can endure, meditation can help you cope better with life. It can help you get rid of the tensions of the day, and it does a much better job than drugs or alcohol ever could!
I suggest taking five minutes to clear your mind and leave the outside world behind. Meditation is the ultimate mind-body experience, and it can even help you heal and restore your health.
Meditation allows you to tap into your own healing power and to shed painful emotional burdens and self-defeating thoughts. Close your eyes and take yourself somewhere in your mind.
You might visit the beach, imagine you are sitting by a beautiful waterfall or even imagine you are climbing a mountain.
Now, breathe...
Breathing is one of the most powerful resources you can tap into. Breathing is the basis of all life.
Every living thing on the planet breathes. Mentally, breathing helps the mind to relax.
When your mind relaxes and is serene, you can think much more clearly. Spiritually learning how to breathe is a meditation. Meditation puts you on a path to your spirituality.
It’s not rocket science, but to practise deep breathing close your eyes and inhale deeply, filling your diaphragm with fresh, oxygenated air.
Repeat two-three times.
7 Ways to Find Peace in a Chaotic World
Now that you are nice and relaxed here are 7 tips to keep you going :)
1) Stop Multitasking
Multitasking adds to the chaos factor. It’s complete bullshit that multitasking makes you more efficient. Take one thing at a time and immerse yourself in your task.
When you take time to focus on the present moment, you use your energy in a more efficient way.
2) Sit in the Sun for 10 Minutes
When you sit in the sun, your body naturally produces vitamin D. Vitamin D can help you feel more positive and more upbeat. You don’t even need to be in direct sunlight being outdoors will help.
Vitamin D isn’t in many foods, so taking time to allow your body to produce it can improve your peace of mind. Increasing your levels of vitamin D also helps ward off depression, Type I diabetes, high blood pressure and even cancer and heart disease.
What an amazing vitamin it is!
3) Think more Positively
Optimists have a much better time getting through the trials and tribulations of life – and live longer in better health! The next time you grumble, stop for a moment and find the positive enjoy the situation.
4) Take Time for Laughter
Laughter releases powerful chemicals in your body called endorphins. Endorphins are nature’s feel-good chemical. Endorphins can help you literally feel better - who needs drugs?
5) Take a Walk
When you are feeling stressed, one of the best things you can do is to get out there and take a walk. It’s one of my favourite pastimes – I find it does wonders for me.
Stretching your legs and moving your body can ease away stress and anxiety. Plus, it clears your mind and helps you think with more clarity.
6) Listen to Music
Listening to music can be very healing and restorative. Music can help you ward off stress and anxiety.
Just play something mellow and allow your mind to drift for maximum benefit.

Soaking in a hot tub or shower can really melt away the stress away. Relaxing in hot water can help you escape a chaotic world.
When you are soaking, just imagine the water is washing away stress and tension. Watch your worries go down the drain…
